I am of Hakka Chinese ancestry and a child of immigrant parents from Taiwan. I was born and raised on Tamien land in the Santa Clara Valley.

As a young one, I felt amply disturbed and bewildered by human affairs, both within my private sphere and on the world stage. By my mid-twenties, a convergence of personal crises forced a reckoning that catalyzed the beginning of my healing journey with plant medicine held by elders of Mazatec and Amazonian lineages.

Over time, the compass pointed me back to the language, cosmology, arts, and medicines of my own ancestral roots, all of which continue to be reparative antidotes for the trauma of separation from ancestral lands and ways.

My personal healing journey interweaves with over a decade of study at the intersection of consciousness, trauma healing, the collective psyche, and the body—all of which shapes my work as a somatic psychotherapist in private practice, supporting others in gently identifying and unlearning stuck unconscious patterns, while reconnecting with ancestral wisdom that has long been marginalized or disrupted.

In addition to apprenticing with Folks Healing, I am also an ongoing disciple of Daoist martial + healing arts and a student of Chinese seal carving and calligraphy. I find joy in relating to plants and creatures, attuning to the seasons (inner and outer), practicing archery and movement arts, making things, connecting and scheming with community, and always learning.
