Folks Healing Clinic is a place to enter a stream of healing — one that moves through nature, the seasons, and our own bodies.
We offer a different kind of medicine, grounded in rhythm, relationship, and rest. Treatments are seasonal, accessible, and practiced in shared space, allowing healing to unfold in quiet relation with others.
In a culture that prioritizes speed and solutions, Folks Healing creates space — for the body to settle, for balance to return, and for healing to take its own time.
Care is designed to be easy to enter and easy to return to. Treatments are affordable and offered on a sliding scale, with no appointments necessary. For those who value regular or seasonal care, we also offer a membership-based subscription that supports ongoing treatment at a reduced rate.
Our aim is simple: to make thoughtful, preventive, seasonal care available without urgency, complexity, or financial strain.
about
-
Folks Healing Clinic is for people who are drawn to a quieter, more relational approach to healthcare.
It may be a good fit if you:
feel worn down, overstimulated, or out of rhythm
are carrying ongoing stress, fatigue, or discomfort
sense that something is out of balance but don’t want to be reduced to a diagnosis
are curious about seasonal and/or preventive approaches to health
want care that feels grounded, respectful, and human
want to tune in to the more subtle elements of health and healing
-
Folks Healing may not be the right fit if you are looking for:
quick fixes or guaranteed outcomes
extensive diagnosis or analysis
one-on-one emotional processing
constant conversation during treatment
Our approach is simple, seasonal, and shared. Many people find this deeply supportive; others may prefer a more individualized or explanatory style of care.
You’re welcome to come once, to try it out, or to return seasonally. There is no expectation to commit beyond what feels right for you.

Treatments at the Folks Healing Clinic are gentle, seasonal, and whole-body, designed to feel complete without being complicated. Each visit lasts about 20 minutes and is offered in a shared community space.
Care may include a combination of hands-on and energetic practices, depending on the season and your needs. These may include Chinese medical massage (tui na, acupressure, meridian flow massage), body or facial gua sha, different forms of moxa, cupping, stone therapy, essential oils, and simple qi gong–informed techniques. Not every treatment includes every method — care is kept simple, responsive, and aligned with the season.
Rather than focusing on fixing a single symptom, treatments aim to support balance, circulation, rest, and regulation, allowing the body to reorient toward health in its own time.
You’ll also receive supportive self-care and home care guidance, such as seasonal practices, simple movements, or ways to continue the treatment’s effects between visits. These suggestions are practical and meant to integrate easily into daily life.
The overall experience is meant to feel settling, nourishing, and accessible — a place to pause, receive care, and realign with seasonal rhythm.

Care at the Folks Healing Clinic is offered by Folks Healing apprentices who are in a dedicated phase of deepening their learning and practice. All practitioners in the clinic have completed the foundational phase of the Folks Healing pathway and are continuing into more advanced, hands-on study.
Apprentices are closely supervised and supported by the founders of Folks Healing, a licensed acupuncturist and a certified massage therapist. Supervision ensures that care remains safe, thoughtful, and aligned with the Folks Healing cosmology and seasonal approach.
The apprenticeship model emphasizes presence, responsibility, and continuity, allowing practitioners to learn through real community care while remaining held within clear guidance and support.
Folks Healing offers a different kind of medicine: one that honors rhythm, relationship, and rest.
Healing unfolds through continuity, attention, and relationship over time. A Folks Healing membership reflects a commitment to preventive, ongoing care, much like a gym membership supports long-term strength and wellbeing.
Memberships support regular, seasonal treatment while helping keep the clinic accessible, community-rooted, and sustainable. They also help sustain the wider Folks Healing ecosystem, including educational and community offerings.
Members receive reduced rates for weekly care and priority access to treatments.
This model honors health as a living process and care as a shared responsibility — one we tend together, over time.
